Penentuan Formula Optimum Body Scrub Berbasis Serbuk Habbatussauda (Nigella sativa L.): Karakterisasi Fisik dan Uji Antioksidan

Body scrub merupakan sediaan kosmetik untuk membantu eksfoliasi kulit melalui pengangkatan sel-sel kulit mati sehingga menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan kulit. Habbatussauda (Nigella sativa L.) merupakan tanaman herbal kaya senyawa bioaktif seperti thymoquinone, flavonoid, senyawa fenolik, vitamin, mineral, dan asam lemak esensial yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan body scrub berbahan serbuk habbatussauda, mengevaluasi karakteristik fisiknya, serta mengkaji aktivitas antioksidan secara eksperimental menggunakan empat formula, yaitu F0 sebagai kontrol tanpa serbuk habbatussauda, F1 berkonsentrasi 5%, F2 sebesar 10%, dan F3 sebesar 15%. Parameter evaluasi meliputi organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, serta aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) dengan vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif untuk menentukan potensi antioksidan setiap formula yang dihasilkan secara optimal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh formula menghasilkan sediaan yang homogen dengan nilai pH berkisar antara 5-6 sehingga sesuai dengan pH fisiologis kulit. Peningkatan konsentrasi serbuk Habbatussauda menyebabkan warna sediaan semakin pekat, konsistensi meningkat, dan daya sebar cenderung menurun. Formula 1 dan Formula 2 memenuhi persyaratan daya sebar, sedangkan Formula 3 memiliki daya sebar di bawah standar. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan nilai IC₅₀ Formula 1, Formula 2, dan Formula 3 berturut-turut sebesar 5,39 ppm, 4,97 ppm, dan 4,45 ppm, yang termasuk kategori aktivitas antioksidan sangat kuat. Meskipun Formula 3 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi, Formula 2 ditetapkan sebagai formula optimum karena memberikan keseimbangan terbaik antara karakterisasi fisik yang memenuhi persyaratan dan aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa body scrub berbasis serbuk Habbatussauda berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai sediaan eksfoliasi alami yang juga memberikan manfaat antioksidan.
